About Tokens

Updated by Corine Barbazanges

The SENAR application allows students to launch and interact with AR simulators. It requires a valid token, which is triggered by downloading a simulator.

When is a token debited?

  1. If approval is not needed to access the collection
  • The student scans the collection QR code provided by the instructor and fills in the identification form.
  • The screen displays a list of simulators in the collection, each with a "Download" button.

  1. If approval is needed to access the collection
  • The student scans the collection QR code and fills in the identification form.
  • The instructor is invited to grant or deny access in SENAR Studio.
  • After the instructor grants access to the student, the latter's screen displays a list of simulators in the collection, each with a "Download" button.

How can tokens be tracked?

Instructors and Managers can access the token report in the “Tokens” section of SENAR Studio.

This report displays the total number of tokens used and a list of all students who have downloaded simulators. It can be exported in .csv format.

How long can a simulator be used?

Each simulator can be used for up to 20 hours over a 12-month period, with a maximum of 10 hours per month.

With this Fair Use policy, the student has all the necessary time to practice and acquire the required skills.

The 20 hours of use are counted only when the simulator is in actual use (simulator launched, with the camera view open).

Can students change their name during a session?

The students no longer have access to the identification form once it has been completed. Therefore, they cannot change their name or organization.

➜ 1 token = 1 download /student.

What happens when students exit the SENAR application?

When students exit the SENAR application, their session remains active. After restarting the app, they don't need to scan the QR code again.

An "Active session" does not mean that a simulator is in actual use, but that a token is valid and the student is still identified in the app.

What happens if students exit the training session?

When tapping the Exit button, students are clearly warned that this action will end their training session.

Once a session has been ended, a QR code must be scanned to launch a new one.

What happens if students delete and reinstall the SENAR application?

If students reinstall SENAR after removing the application from their device, they will have to scan the QR code again, which will start a new session. As a result, they will be considered to be a new student, even if they enter the same name and organization they used before.

Their first session's data is saved in the cloud and remains available in the Analytics reports.
